I agree - clipping the end of the strap to make it fit is not ideal and there are plenty of options of cheap straps so this watch deserves a strap of the proper size.

My wife just bought her first mechanical watch, an Hermes Cape Cod automatic. She is really thrilled with it.

On a single-wrap natural barenia leather Hermes strap:





On a double-wrap white leather Hermes strap:

Yeah, that was what sold her on the watch design (the single-wrap strap that came with it was just a bonus really). Apparently Margiela came up with the double-wrap idea while creative director at Hermes.

Nice watch, but as others have stated, the band detracts from it. A croc in the proper size would look great.

Could I just venture slightly off the specific issue and suggest with the utmost respect that she never wears that green nail polish again...ever. She has nice hands and the natural nail polish makes the whole look more classy and frankly beautiful.
