Just took this puppy in on trade. It's a Lange Perpetual Calendar in yellow gold. I thought it was going to be too dressy for me, but wearing it today with jeans, t-

shirt and Thedi leather jacket from @Epaulet and digging it. I'm definitely a sucker for a good micro-rotor

This is a very Epaulet watch! Not surprised to hear it's your favorite. When you want one, let me know ;)

Ah...karma.  The Langematik Perpetual, right next to the Datograph on my grail list.  And equally irritating to Dino - teehee!

You sure know how to pick a winner.  Magnificent.

So-- the morning after your wedding and you're posting here? Congratulations, I guess. biggrin.gif

Nah...not enough to irritate me.  Lange makes great watches, but only a few appeal to me aesthetically (L1 &Moonphase version, Cabaret, Zeitwerk, and the original 1815 Moonphase).  If the Datograph and Langmatik Perpetual are your grail pieces Mimo, I wish you all the best in acquiring them my friend.  :fistbump:

Maybe because I'm not a watch guy, but I find that with less is more when it comes to Lange.

If I were to have only one, it would be the Saxonia Automatik. The new 1815 Ab/Aufs also have their virtues.

Do you guys remember the Langematik Anniversary with the enamel dial? I feel like that would appeal to you if you like simple. These used to be cheap and plentiful. Now they're very hard to find and stupid expensive.

My favourite "less is more" Lange, and the third of my Lange grail trinity:

*sigh*

Yes, I remember it.   It really did nothing for me.  Not really a fan of the red 12 either.  I know its a throw back to early wrist watches and pocket watches, making it easier to determine the dial's orientation, before the 12 position became standardized for most watches (90 degrees counter clockwise from the winding crown).   But on modern pieces, IMHO it just comes off as gimmicky.

As mentioned, before Lange makes great watches, but most leave me cold.  There are only a few that I like enough to consider at some point.

Not my first choice in a Lange offering, but one that I do think is handsome and I could live with it.
