Congrats and enjoy!  Looks like you made it nearly a full year keeping your no new watches for yourself New Year's resolution (which isn't as much fun, at least not for the rest of us).    cheers.gif

A great catch, Frills. You and Dino are cracking me up. fing02[1].gif

Thanks!  It's the 45th anniversary Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award, launched/announced in Basel earlier this year.  Comes in an appropriately swanky presentation box, with literature about the Snoopy Award / NASA and Omega's involvement in the Apollo 13 mission.

Thanks! That really looks like something special. Congratulations!

Normally I'm an unapologetic strap-swapper ... but the OEM bracelet stays on my 2531.80.

I can't think of a strap (be it leather, rubber or fabric) that would suit the SMP more than the OEM bracelet!

what he said! smp bracelet is so comfortable even though oem clasp lacks micro adjustments. you do it with half links but for my wrist only needed one. if you can make it fit its awesome

Nice watch guys! And I'm still debating between the 300SMP (on 2500D in blue) and the new retro 300 titanium on titanium... Px differential is tempting me towards 300SMP but I do really like the new retro 300...

Thank you. I've known for some time that this is the exact model I wanted. I am happy with my choice.

I was offered a great deal on a date model but had to turn it down. I am happy I did.

You may not need another watch for the rest of your life.

(Notice I said "need", not "want" satisfied.gif)

If you think my wrist is small, you should see the length of my... arms.

No offense taken. I had to take 4 links out of the bracelet to get the right fit. :lookaround:

I already have a pretty good idea of what I want next but it's going to take a couple years. I'm only 24 so I'm pretty happy that I was able to buy myself this one in the first place.

But with only one Snoopy Speedy, isn't he going to have to find another watch Snoopy Speedy or something else for the second child? :decisions:

My four year old already put it on her wrist this morning and threw a bit of a tantrum when I coaxed her to give it back to me. They love looking at Snoopy on the dial and in the case back.

That case back is something else. Really loving it. Next time I see you, you have to bring the watch...and probably a good pair of running shoes because I may try to run away with it.

HA! Im sure there's a Patek with a Woodstock motif that Frilly can manage to find, or at least have MTO. biggrin.gif

This looks very nice! But knowing Omega, why would they not make more pieces of this special edition? This must be the only special edition that sold well and people sought after, most of their limited special editions end up in the gray market with significant discount. They have also released 25 variations of the Speedy so it is not like they can dilute the model any more by offering more of the Snoopy? I am saying this because I would probably buy one of them were they not so limited and hard to get biggrin.gif
