My Google skills are failing me. Did Panerai ever make a Radiomir with the California dial in 42 mm? If so can someone shoot me a reference number. TIA.

Pretty sure no. Went looking a few months back after one caught my brother's eye and if I remember correctly, not only are there no 42mm, I think they've only done 47mm.

Not sure exactly. But these are sold by Central Watch in Grand Central Station and are made from Louisiana alligator. At $125, they're priced at roughly half of what I see similar straps sell for in London.

Looks good to me, BH.

I think navy can be a great color for straps, and is generally under-utilized.

The only example I have is on my Monaco (shown here, which also looks good with a black perforated strap IMO).

But I think a dark blue strap can pair perfectly with white dial watches, silver/sunburst, and frequently black ... always dependent on the exact combination, of course.

Yeah.

Pretty sad.

We went from Pr0n, to TWAT, to .... ??? ... one hella-long acronym.

Thanks @KeithT

Navy looks great on that Monaco as well.

It's nice to have a strap that will pass as black in a dimly-lit environment, but lets out a nice bit of color when it's bright.

Maybe I'll go the homage route... I love the cali dial but cannot pull off 47mm on my wrist.

I wonder if pricing might have to start coming back down to earth, too?
