Generally I'd agree but this new range of FMs the Vanguard is brilliant and very competitively priced, one I like was about 7600 USD, about same as the cartier

While its not crazy money for a watch, there have always been watches of higher quality at his price points.  The Vanguard doesn't do anything for me, however if it puts a smile on your face, then go for it.

Missed it....will have to find it online.

Edit: Not much substance, and I don't see a video...but always nice to see a bit of horology in the "mass media".

^ Hmm, @Keith T I wonder why that last quote in your sig (originally from NonServiam, I believe) is attributed to me. Not that I disagree or anything, but I really can't take credit for it :-)

Wow that's rough. I have five PAMs Ranging from 11 to 14 years of ownership. Never had a problem like that with any of them. I've had hands falling and big date failing and crown no longer screwing in on my Dormbluth, GO, IWC, etc... but never an issue with a PAM

It's possible that they half assed the first repair. Maybe it's confirmation bias messing with my head, but the winding of the crown didn't really feel the same after i got it back. I'm going to talk to them and see what happens.

Is that an ETA or in house movement?

Thanks Kaplan. Can't see it on my phone right now, but I will locate the original source and make sure it is attributed properly.

If there is a decent power reserve remaining, try switching off all applicances and pressing your ear to the floor and walls.  You might eventually locate the ticking by sonar.

I hope you find it. :)

Wasn't planning on getting another watch but got this one for a steal. It's a bit undersized but kind of a refreshing change from whats in my rotation now.

Will look great after I get a new strap. any suggestions? was thinking some kind of glossy gator in a burgundy or brown, or maybe keep it classic with glossy black or dark navy?

May I suggest: mid grey croc, no stitching.
