I literally understood none of that!

Also, Novelty: the only reason to wait for a new movement would be a better used/grey price on the old one.

Maybe I'm old school but I don't consider body building to be a sport in and of itself, rather training to prepare one's body to better participate in a sport.

I have to give it to guys like Zane, Reeves and Paris as GOATs but Arnold without a doubt did more than anyone to bring the sport to mainstream.

No. I've heard the 'rumors' but actually never tried to search for it. Who would?

Been wanting to see and try one of these on the wrist, but haven't done it yet.

I wear quite a bit of purple and lavender in my dress shirts and ties ... plenty of stripes, different patterns, etc.

Wouldn't spring for a Rolex strictly to accessorize per se, but am curious to see that watch in the flesh, and how the color looks in different lighting conditions for instance.

@Belligero has a normal sized one without the spots.

I have to say I'd always wanted them to bring out a 39mm Oyster, and a blue one too.  But the addition of these coloured blobs to all three makes them look cheap in my eyes.  OK not cheap.  But...special edition Aqua Terra that should have been left alone, kind of thing.  It is not very Rolex.

In the mean time, a question: following on from the Black Bay discussion above, and assuming a price of $2500-3000 mint used or grey, what are the competing options at that price in the hive mind?

For me in that range Omega PO, AT and Speedy Pro come to mind as solid alternatives. You are also getting close to being able to into used Pam base models.

What do you guys think of this?

I've been really into chronographs lately, and I'm thinking of doing a big trade-in to get a second-hand version of this. Got a bunch of things that I'm not wearing very much these days.

I'm a bit concerned that it's going to be too loud, but who am I kidding - I've worn a Hawaiian shirt for like three days in a row. I like loud things sometimes.

I'm a big Daytona fan, so you got my vote.

That is properly naughty.

Which is why I think you've already explored its naughtiness and found yourself entirely comfortable.  Rock on*

*(They do come in all gold. Just saying.)

Haha, I know! The all-gold would be channeling my inner P.Diddy pretty strongly.

I actually prefer the two-tone look, and it's of course a lot less expensive. Pretty sure that I can negotiate an even exchange with a bunch of trade-in's, so that's why it's on the radar.

That particular dial is a great look as well.

Mike, don't like most 2 tones in general. but that one rocks. but if you could get the all gold one with newman dial, shouldn't you just splurge and get it?
