I never looked back, I think that SubC would be a great watch if Rolex didn't mess with the case and kept the tapered lugs similar to what they have done with the Sea Dweller.

I agree with this. I struggled with the new case when it came out too. I eventually bought a 116610LN and it really grew on me. Started looking "normal" after a week or so.

I LOVE the chunky lugs on the new SubC. I didn't think it would work on the wrist either at first, but boy does it ever!

A guy at lunch was wearing the green one. Couldn't take my eyes off it. shog[1].gif

Sure does. 116610LV is next for me.

Hi! I just got a watch, 44 mm and did not realize how BIG it was going to be (and I have thin wrists). I have not bought a watch in a long time and did not even know that there was a big watch fad going on. Anyway, I hate paying return shipping :X but I probably will 99.9% sure, here are some pictures if anyone has any helpful advice

(can I get used to the size or is it just too BIG).

Thanks! (and ugh my wrists :P)

Looks too big on your wrist IMO.

It's also hideous.  Send it back, and check the PMW thread for better suggestions. :)

Same here. It's great on the wrist but I have to admit you really notice when you switch to the 214270. That one is beyond comfortable.

Tricky,
214270 has a rounded shape case and so sits much better on the wrist compared to SubC or many other models. It is very comfortable indeed but is little too plain and may get boring at some point. I still enjoy mine and wear it for couple weeks in a row sometimes, especially during hot days when you don't want anything on your wrist.

Nice thread. Here's my Lancaster Roberts. Nice fashion watch and some really nice designs. Going to get a black Hirsch watch from them but they're sold out.

So here is a home to post your pictures of your watches (I think it's more interesting if we stick to our own watches rather than reposting stock photos or other people's scans)

I agree, it's very simple and the shape is well suited for comfort. I think that's what makes me love it so much but then I put on the LV and it's all wow factor for me - never get bored staring at those shades of green!

Pretty sure my next is a Pam 512 but I'm also lusting after a GMT Pepsi on leather...such a classic.
