Congrats!  Definitely a large Rolex, but it wears pretty well for 42mm.  The black dial is one of my favorite modern Rolex watches.  Congrats and enjoy!

I was gifted these things. I think the Hermes is a Quartz movement. Does anyone know the model name for the Longines?

Had the opportunity to try on the new blue GO PanoMaticLunar on Friday. This might be the most stunning watch I've seen up close. Think I might make this a goal over the next few years.

Well, next purchase paid, delivery in 10 days or so. Hint: vintage, funny shape.

The Longines seems to be from 'La Grande Classique' collection - looks to be this reference

DSSD has a smaller dial but is much thicker, this one has a much bigger dial so it looks bigger when you look at it. It does sit better on the wrist compared to DSSD though, deep sea is like a hockey puck as you know. I honestly have no idea why Rolex decides to make this explorer bigger, I think it would be perfect at 40mm.

Looks like La Grande. I still own one. The gold "coat" wears of after 4-5 years of use but still a winner.

That's great! I've been a fan of the PML as it is, but that blue dial is quite stunning. I'm sure pictures don't do it justice.

Blue dials certainly seem to be growing in popularity. I think they are a nice compromise between black and silver.

On a side note. I'm glad I took the GMT to Barcelona. Rubber B was enough to understate it so it didn't really draw any attention. Alas, time to fly home.
