@ nikola, in your position, I think I would probably go Sub. It sounds to me like the movement thing is really going to nag at you.

But if you can "get over" what's under the hood (nothing wrong with a solid, modified ETA), then I do like the size and legit history of the Ingenieur.

And that Rousseau stuff looks quite delicious nod[1].gif

BTW, I've been traveling with this one...really purchased as a dress piece, but it's turned out to be more versatile than I thought.

What is the watch on the left out of curiosity?  Looks nice.

Thank You guys for taking your time to write a quality reply ..

mimo, sadly, the IWC 3239 is very much a new model and I don't have a chance to buy it with the advantage of loss someone took before me. Most likely If I decide to purchase it now, I will be the one taking that hit by selling it off in a couple of years .. Though considering the not so high price, that hit would not be so shocking if I am about to enjoy this watch for years to come ..

I am currently gravitating toward the Submariner more, but will decide once I put the Ingy on wrist as my local IWC reseller is yet to receive one soon.

Also, after selling off my IWC FA Jones (actually made profit doing that) I feel more like making transition to Rolex this time .. But wanted to to hear other voices too ..

Summed: Ingy would be a dream watch if only they have used in-house movement or if I could take the advantage of someone else's loss to justify the purchase of ETA movement ..

I have seen several used 3239s sell over the last couple of years so if you're patient you should be able to find one...

This will be joining my recently aquired BLNR & my almost decade old slightly 'modded' Omega SMP 2254.50. Can't wait!

So the Ingy Laureus finally arrived! I only have this shot taken under indoor nighttime conditions, will take outdoor pics tomorrow. Initial impression: I love it!

That is  a great looking watch.  I really like that case: although it's clearly rugged and sporty in concept, I'm sure it flies well with a jacket and tie, while also not looking like it needs to be babied.  Great kop!

So I got this email today, from Crown and Caliber on some contest they are running.

Take a look at the details in the photo from the email.

It definitely gave me a laugh.

Attention to detail, people.

As a watch resale company, you would think that this would have been looked at more closely.

Side note: Ironically, if you follow the link in the original email, they have edited it further.

Warning: Worth a Laugh (Click to show)

Yeah, if C&C are too lazy to photoshop the raffle watch into the Knot Standard photo it makes you wonder how lazy they are with their own goods.

Yea, I noticed the same thing.  Hope that they actually have a Rolex to give away, and not a Rollox Heir King.

Explorer II in the house, the watch wears pretty big compared to even my DSSD and SD4K, still getting used to it but quite pleased.
