I have always loved this watch. The platinum version is on my (growing) bucket list.

The Dunhill/Namiki collabs before World War II forced them to sever the relationship have some wonderful examples.  Sadly, I fear I like to actually write with these things a bit much, so I'm always fearful that some of the older nibs won't stand up to the daily grind.  Some of the modern examples I have always go through John Mottishaw at Classic Fountain Pens for a little "nib optimization" just to make sure it writes super smoothly.

Really awesome variety though - and I'm astonished by some of the prices.

I've never been to a watch auction, or even really had much of an opportunity-- but always figured that was for the best.

Absolutely. I've been to a couple of pre-auction viewings where you get to paw some nice watches, but I've never bid for a watch. Really dangerous stuff. I've bid for art and furniture before and I've managed to keep my cool. But watches I could get carried away with.

Crazy prices being paid at some of these auctions. Considering selling my Siffert through one of the larger houses, but not sure if it is the right piece for it.

Anyway, this is a thread on watches, not money, so here is my week in watches smile.gif

Incredible watches. So well done.

@NonServiam - your collection has always been splendid. But that pic of that domed crystal in that set is something else.

Also, that AP! Boom.

Congrats!  Wishing you many years of enjoyment from it!  Definitely a piece from back in the day when IWC actually made watches I wanted to own.
