Y'up.  I ordered a croc strap with it that USPS decided to return as "undeliverable as addressed," while FedEx got the watch to me just fine.  I'll have to get better pictures once it's on the croc strap, but this should do for now.

My wife bought me that watch with romans. It will always have a special place in my collection.

Recognised the box of course, and that's a great choice!  And as MOs go, that's the one as far as I'm concerned.  Congrats, @New Shoes1 , and welcome to the Stowa owners' club!

All you watch buffs out there  - what is your opinion on the 5130 World Timer ?

Yeah, I think looking back I wish I had specified arabic, but letting my wife make the final call is part of the charm of the watch. Aesthetically though, I think the arabic numerals are the way to go.

Yes, sorry if that sounded disparaging: I think of Arabic as being the definitive style of deck watches, but that doesn't detract from the beauty of the Romans: not as maritime, but more reminiscent of smart pocket watches and the like.  Either way it's a cracking good watch for the money, and still very much on my list.

This, however, I'll leave beyond even aspiration: it just popped up on my Facebook feed from a friend whose family happen to be the local Rolex AD.

No, I totally agree with you. Not disparaging at all. I wear the Speedy or Nomos most days anyway, I usually wear the Stowa when I'm taking my wife out.

Thanks for the kinds words, everyone.  I made the decision to get two less expensive watches rather than using my entire budget on one watch after being a one watch guy for the past decade, so may have another watch incoming in the Fall as well.

@no frills you are my hero. Between that Nautilus, your other watches and your Corthays, I am quite a bit of reasons to be envious! :slayer:

I cannot possibly condone what is on and beneath the ankle.

But you're still my hero too. Though mainly because you keep Gotham safe.
