Congratulations on the purchase!!
Back to TWAT!
I checked out a few Porsches recently, whereupon I noticed analog clocks in the magnificently appointed dash.
The hands did not line up with the markers.
What does it say about me that this would most likely preclude me from buying one?
TC congrats on the new ride! Hope it brings you many miles of enjoyment.
Actually, it says you weren't driving the car as intended !
In all seriousness it may also depend on the model you were driving. In some of them, at least years ago, the clock was at a slight angle so the driver had a better view of it. Not sure if the ones you saw were set straight or at a slight angle, which might have affected your perspective.
The only reason to have the analog clock in those cars is for the other options that are part of the sport chrono package, such as dynamic transmission mounts, sport plus mode with throttle remapping, and a hard redline (doesn't cut out extra early before the redline) etc.
H Moser do, my AD don't: the models are all disontinued (though similar in most cases to the newer "Endeavour" range). The one you've shown is a newer model but they're not ordering any: this is a fire sale of stuff that's been sitting there a year or two. Monard, Mayu, Henry Double Hairspring, Perpetual Calendar and Perpetual Moon are all in stock, I think. Mostly in red/pink/yellow gold, a couple of Pt and Palladium models left. A Pd Monard with fumé dial is haunting me. Probably still out of my league, even at a big discount, but it really looks and feels like something special.
That's a beast. So different from the G, which is a brilliant bit of engineering but the retro cooler-box styling is perhaps more divisive. The RR might feel a bit more spacious, too: I've been in the back of an up-armoured G a few times, and although I quite like the very upright stance as a drive, it's not got that luxurious limo feel for the passengers. Congratulations!
That is a beautiful item. And if I may say so, a stunning jacket that looks to be part of a magnificent fit.
