Congratulations, sir. Wishing you all the best. Maybe celebrate with another watch...?

Buying watches in pairs might be wiser, henceforth!

Give it a couple of days then let her know the custom of an engagement watch and later separate wedding watch. :D  Congrats!

We've already been discussing the idea of an "early wedding present" (her words). Last night she feigned interest as I flipped through the JLC catalog. She really likes the uncomplicated Master Ultra Thin. I've really got to see the black dial moon in person...

Might be something to consider, though she insists that her Frederique Constant Slim Line is perfectly acceptable for her needs.

Now this had not occurred to me! Though due to our two-year stint in London, a long engagement does look likely. She's already said she'd entertain an early wedding present, though I've been referring to it expressly as "engagement watch." One of her friends got a P.O. for his, after all. So there is precedent!

Indeed, I somehow pulled it off over the last couple of years, culminating in getting married last August.  I mean the ring is pretty expensive so something to compliment it isn't too crazy.  And a wedding gift is a wedding gift, something different to wear on your big day!  Congrats again.

Congrats BH!  Wedding gifts in the form of watches are great!

I jokingly asked for an engagement Omega or Rolex shortly after I gave my now wife her engagement ring and she said sure but I didn't want her to spend any money on me. What was I thinking? I wonder if that offer still stands seven years after the wedding?

@Farhad19620 first time I see this Tissot 'in the flesh' (except for Tissot product photography). Looks cool; how do you like it?

Interesting Tissot..

First glitch on the JLC: original strap started to lose it's coating / surface finish around where the clasp attaches in about a day. Obviously my AD got JLC to change this to a new one, wait time: 8 weeks. Good work on how to handle the issues so full marks to my AD on this one.
