A $17000 remote control for your already portable device. Hell no.

I'm calling 'bullshit' on the $17k Apple watch. I doubt I'm alone.

Precious metals seems misplaced on the Apple Watch. The reason I would value a precious metal mechanical watch is because it's surrounding something precious - not just a gold version of a swatch. Of course, they're not targeting people like me, but will of course be interesting to see how this sells. I would rather have the aluminum watch with a gold coin than the gold watch.

The one question I have is why don't more watch manufacturers make anodized aluminum cases? I absolutely love my titanium Shogun and aluminum has many of the same benefits at a much lower cost. Maybe the answer is that 316L isn't that much more money than aluminum and is easier to machine - then the question is why does Apple think people will pay $200 more for 316L?

Edit: also sapphire vs glass screen so I guess that could be a bigger factor in the price difference.

But, but, it's a rare watch.

Only one idiot purchased the gold version.

How about $75.00. LOL

I'm sure that there are still fools with too much money who will buy them, just as there are fools who spend ridiculous amounts of money on "luxury" editions of mobile phones, such as the Prada-branded LG, the blinged-out aftermarket versions of some phones and, of course, the Vertu, the company that must sell almost exclusively to wealthy Russians and people from Middle East oil states.

Well, let's see. Will Bono be able to load whatever crap he wants to on my watch?

Hi all. Thought I'd share some of the collection. I enjoy looking all the time, so I figured I would put some up myself. More to come, if you are interested!

I don't want to be the one to ask, but are your watches genuine? Certainly the pearl looks odd (misplaced) on that Submariner, plus the dial logo and bezel insert.

If I'm mistaken, then I apologize, just thought I'd ask.

They are all real. No worries.

You're forgetting the Chinese. Apple is huuuuge in China, and so is bling. As much bling as you can possibly squeeze into anything. I'm predicting a vast majority of the market for the Apple Watch Edition will be in China. Interesting data point, the Apple Watch's first modelling stint was on the cover of Vogue China.
