Just referencing some of the stuff said on here about Nomos. Everyone has different opinions, but I like to poke the bear when possible. I honestly couldn't be happier with this watch. I thought I was an obvious Nomos fanboy at this point so I didn't think I needed to make my sarcasm as obvious.

Truly fake (see what I did there?) Picked up from a night market in Bangkok a lifetime ago - when to me g shocks were the epitome of cool, and the funky jumping hours and date were the most awesome thing ever. Sits in a forgotten corner of my watch drawer. Can't bear to throw it out but also obviously don't wear it anymore, not sure what to do with it..

This is absolutely beautiful. Which model is this exactly? Master Ultra Thin? How much does this go for in the grey market?

Interesting little piece about an Omega ad, art, Mecca, death threats and money.

Thanks! It's the older Master Control at 40mm. It's since been replaced by the better-balanced 39 mm. Both are thin but neither are "Ultra-thin"

Not sure of going rates these days sorry..

Nice JLC.  That's just a real, simple, quality watch.  Nice choice.

You can't beat a Datejust, fluted + jublilee combo as a versatile piece.  Love mine, it was my gateway drug to this hobby ...

Jumping in here a bit late, but there's another application of this practice that I dislike even more severely than on watches: the recent trend in decorating for a designer to put a sign on the wall that describes the purpose of the room. I know that I'm standing in the kitchen, I don't need a reminder to "E A T" in large, vintage distressed letters. I've never found myself in a strange room of my house, confused about its purpose, until I saw "Laundry" spelled out on the wall.
