Congrats Dino! All this BLNR love is making me dizzy. May be I should add this one to my list, too?!

I thought about that but wasn't sure how I was going to explain it to the wife. "Yes honey I know I just bought a new watch last week but all the cool kids are getting BLNRs and I want one too."

aleksandr, this sounds like a perfectly acceptable explanation to me...

I love the new JLC Reverso Center Seconds in WG. Apparently, it's meant to be a boutique-only edition - any chance it may ultimately make it out to the grey-market, where a 20-30% discount may be had? Love the watch, but at full price I'm tempted to get some other pieces.

Thanks,
GC

Can anyone help / comment on the above?

Congratulations Dino my man. Really lovely looking pics. I feel like the "no flash" pic captures the BLNR's "look" best, given what you posted - but it's really hard to capture the look of a two tone cerachrom bezel, and how it complements or contrasts with either a lacquered dial (the Subs) or a matte dial (the SDs) - is the BLNR a matte or lacquered dial? Looks matte, 'no?

But that black and blue ain't in any of the diver line - and it's AMAZING.

I can ask my AD in Europe if he can source it--I know he's had boutique-only watches in the past. If so, you'd get at least the VAT back and maybe if you're lucky a small discount. With the strong dollar, there'd be an additional savings.

Was wondering which sportcoat to wear today for lunch, that would pair with both a Red dial and a Cream dial watch (friends wanted to check out both!).. Settled on a tweed gunclub...

Thanks, gopherblue - that would be very helpful.

Awesome watch Dino, congratulations. Love the deep blue of the bezel. Matching blue GMT hand is a great touch. Wishing you much enjoyment of it.

I briefly considered vintage, but I'm so picky it would be tough, I would only want a full set/box papers, and if possible unpolished.  In addition, if I were going vintage I'd only have gone with the Pepsi.  The Coke bezel simply never appealed to me at all, but different strokes for different folks.  I had owned an all black GMT, so been there done that, and I the few quasi watch people that would notice it would say, "Nice Sub."  So to me a GMT Master needs a dual color bezel to have its own identity.  Anyway, thanks for the good wishes.

Thanks Bill.  Its a tough watch to photograph and pix just don't do it justice, its much nicer in person than my pix can demonstrate.

I guess you won't be needing your 15202 anymore. I'll pm you my shipping details.

:rotflmao:  I actually laughed our loud when I read your reply!   Don't feel too badly for the 15202, she got to go out for dinner tonight.  I didn't want her to feel neglected.

Perhaps you should add one to your list!  If you haven't seen one in person, as mentioned above pix don't do it justice.

I randomly came across one at an AD about 6 months ago, didn't take it, and later regretted not pulling the trigger.

I'm glad I was able to locate another, especially with all the talk about possible price increases.

I'm with Frills on that one...sounds like a great reason to me!  Give it a shot, and let us know how she responds.

Frills thanks for the enabling!  Yes, I agree the no flash is a more accurate representation of the BLNR's colors.  It really is tough to photograph. When I try to capture the blue, the black half looks almost gray in photos.  I keeps saying it but pix just don't do it justice.  The dial on the BLNR is lacquered...but I think the dual color bezel compliments the dial quite nicely.  No, its not in any of the diving line up...if you want the dual color bezel, you will have to cross over to the dark side and step away from the diving models.  Again thanks for the kind words and enabling!

I think it might be safe to assume that Frilly has already bought the BLNR in his head, but is simply wondering which related model he will pair with it before swiping the magic card.

Amirite?
