I've been too lazy to take my BLNR in to get resized but very much anticipating giving it some solid wrist time.

In other news, again taking advantage of favorable currency rates before the impending adjustments, just ordered a hesalite moonwatch (with the new packaging). Would have been fine with the previous version, but got the new one for a very good price, although won't know how much until the wire settles tomorrow. Still waiting on my VAT refund from the BLNR actually, and unfortunately it will be around 8-10% smaller than anticipated due to the EURO drop in the last few weeks so I guess I'm on both sides of the EURO this week.

At this point with the nomos, BLNR and moonwatch I'm probably going to shut down my serious watch buying for the foreseeable future. Still have a hankering for a Daytona, but not sure I can stomach the price increases - much regret for not getting one 5 years ago but alas interests change.

Thanks!  Hope the VAT refund issues work out for you as you had hoped, and congrats on your Speedy!

Congrats on the purchase, Dino. Only a matter of time and the right motivation

Congratulations! Great watch. If I wasn't set with steel Rolexes that would probably be one i would pick up.

Enjoy

This is going to be a most interesting and painful month for me.  I think I've bought something.  And cancelled it.  And bought something else.  But might end up with both.  This will be very, very hard to explain to my special someone.

Thanks, I don't know what the final number will look like, but I've cleared all the traps and should have it within a week! Hopefully the Speedy makes its way across the Atlantic faster than my Nomos which took a few weeks due to the holidays.

My wife is similarly puzzled.gif about it. Short story short, I am very careful about running errands (eg I avoid them like the plague) and one of my offices is relatively close to the SF Rolex service center but I haven't been in that office since I received the BLNR and don't really want to go out of my way when I can do it conveniently. My other office where I spend most of my time makes it inconvenient to go to a jeweler from there. I'm also still contemplating whether to have my sapphire caseback installed or to wait for the warranty to expire in a couple of years and do it then.

I'm intrigued Mimo.

RobW and DLJr  Thanks for the kind wishes and good thoughts. I guess I didn't beat my old record of going 4 years without a watch purchase.  This time 2.5 years, and the idea of a price increase got me motivated.

Deets Mimo?

I was never good at test taking so I always changed my answers.  Getting better at that.  I almost feel sorry for your BLNR before you even get it to your wrist.  It has so much competition and hell you have a 15202 you hardly take off!

:rotflmao:

All 15202 and nothing else makes Dino a dull boy...on second thought the 15202 rocks so that's nonsense, but I am definitely going to make some room in the rotation for the BLNR !  Also, when I travel I rarely wear the 15202, so the BLNR gives me a good excuse to travel more !

UnFacc, I hear you about avoiding errands, I do the same, bu all you need is a precision screwdriver and you can do it all by yourself. For me it's part of the fun of getting a new watch making those adjustments.

All these purchase and talk of price increases is a very dangerous form of enabling.
