I love it whenever we get a Muller and a Seiko 5 on the same page.

Not to mention the dog pic.

Such win.

Mont Blanc is absolutely killing it w/ the new Vasco da Gama - $12K for a RG, $7.6K for the steel.

Meh. The design, while historically accurate, is just too gimmicky.

The Pulsograph is the pick of the MB litter.

I am wearing one of the last family-owned era Minerva watches today. I believe the Minerva factory become the watchworks for Mont Blanc.

Honing my humble watch photography skills with the little point & shoot...

Showing the curvaceous teardrop lugs and high-quality milled case...

A close-up showing the hand-engraved balance and escape cocks, done without a high magnification computer but rather with a vintage microscope. Apologies for the wear marks, I took these pictures in the morning casually without wiping down the watch!

It seems to still suffer from the case being too big for the movement, with the subdials forced to the middle of the dial. While the price is attractive, I'm not sure I find it to be an attractive watch.

While I agree w/ that assessment with re: to the Perp Cal, I think the Vasco still looks quite nice.

I've only seen the Annual Calendar that was on Hodinkee so far. Can you share pics?

Love the Rieussec -- would pick one of the new tribute versions (with the hidden lume hour markers) if they popped up in the used market. Reallyyyyyyy cool watch.

If I'm spending a lot of money on an engagement ring for my girlfriend, shouldn't I get an engagement watch? Or at least a watch for the wedding? I think so... Maybe make her dad pay for it as a dowry? Thoughts? lol8[1].gif
