How often do you get to wear a $750,000 for even a couple of seconds. It was memorable but even if I could have afforded it, there was no way I would have bought one. I would apply for a few Pateks however.

There are lot sof watches I like in the $50k range. None that I want in the $750k range. I am not sure there is really anything I want in the $150k range, though I could find something.

The most I would need to spend is whatever a minute repeater costs.

This is almost always the case, although it can be done in office light too if you get lucky.

Thats a big range. I mean, I think it would cover from about 100k - 500k.

Have you seen the AP Millenary Repeater? drool.gif

Love that Explorer up there.

Last minute dinner invitation with friends this evening.  Sitting beside me was someone I've not seen in a while.  He's a bit of a Patek fan, and I have to say, I suspect I'm not the only one who's never seen one of these before (apologies for the dim light phone pics):

Just noticed that he hasn't even set the calendar...*sigh*

Also, this is what his son had:

Glad I had the big guns out in my Stowa - would have felt a bit left out otherwise. :)

(Ahem...calling @no frills ...)

Congrats in stitches. Beautiful choice. My next watch (no time soon) will be a 15202 or 15300.

The special screws on that Mille are great. They make it much harder for thieves to steal the watch hands when you leave the case parked outside.

Thanks, man! Good luck on your decision, I'm sure you'll make the right one. :-)

Would like to hear more about this Omega.

1970s? Interesting case shape, and looks like some patina on the dial. A watch that could tell stories.

Heirloom, perhaps?

Also this lovely watch: is that the GT version, or the 976?

I really like that style of Reverso, but almost feel like my 7" wrist requires a case size that's right in between the two!

As dino always says, those rectangular shapes can be very tricky.

^976

It fits a lot of wrists funny but really works for me.  Love it more and more as I wear it

Hahahah!

Always fun to meet up with fellow enthusiasts. How about that RM? How did you like the Patek 5960/1A up close and in the metal?

Lunch today:

Stitches, beautiful 15300. Fits your wrist perfectly.

How do people here feel about the JLC Geophysic series? I probably wouldnt purchase one (too many others ahead of it) but there is something about it that I find very appealing.
