And good luck with whatever you decide.

Oh, you did: timeless, classic.

Right now, I've got it on black buffalo, and I think I'm going to stick with that for a good long while.

Had it on black croc for several years, and really liked it, but the matte look of the buffalo dresses it down some, so I've been wearing it a little more with casual stuff.

TWAT Master calls me out (any opportunity really)

Happy for you, stitch!
And especially after reading all about your decision-making process, which I quite enjoyed-- I think in watch terms, you've got the very definition of a keeper. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
Hell, maybe 2015 won't be so bad after all.

, I completely follow you in your thoughts on your AP. I prefer the 15300 above the 15400 as well, I have a 7" wrist and although the 41mm fits me fine I also opted for a 39mm last year (I got the panda 26300). One of the reasons is that 39mm also goes back to the original case size of the 15202. I don't know why but I felt it was a reason to go 39mm.
Other than that I also feel the dial is way more balanced vs the 15400. Date position, batons and the caseback.
You did well on that one.
The 15300 is on my list, last year I was in doubt between the 26300 panda and the 15300 rose gold with black gator strap. As the panda was more versatile and since I'm still quite young I went with that one. I love it.
Super comfortable, ain't it? Fits every occasion, going from the golf court to the beach or a black tie party. Wear it well.

Thanks, guy! Much appreciated.

There will certainly more pics in the upcoming days/weeks/months/years.

Also, I made a big mistake in my long post. The Radliffe offer for my JLC was not a C-note under what I was offered by another dealer, it was almost a full grand under what I got elsewhere.

From the time I was aware of the RO series, I wanted one with a blue dial. The other dial options were non starters. I'm not sure why. But now I keep going back to stitch's post and drooling at that creamy whiteness.

Time to go find someone who will trade me a white 15400 in exchange for a blue one.

I seem to recall someone posting recently about resale value of JLCs - they just aren't that popular at resale, so I guess prices may vary widely from dealer to dealer.

Indeed they do not hold their value super well. Better than a lot of brands, but nothing like Rolex, Panerai, certain APs, PPs... and a few others. I think as bigger player that demands bigger profits a place like Govberg will always offer less than a small dealer who is fine with thinner margins, but as an offer in trade, their offer was pathetic. I know what they would have charged retail for JLC as a pre-owned watch complete will full box, papers and tags after they bought it, and based on that, the offer was insulting. I get that you cant treat a trade as cash as you need time to turn the investment, but the offer was still unacceptable in my obviously biased opinion.

I any case, when I bought my Reverso Squadra it had just been introduced as a new model and the MSRP has since almost doubled. I bought the watch BNIB from a dealer at 10% over dealer cost about 7 years ago, and when I sold it about a week ago I made almost a grand on the sale. Not a bad situation at all I would say.

I burned through my American cash pretty quickly after I got up here but the savings is gaining relative value on a daily basis. I won't wish pain on anyone else but it's hard not to notice Canada effectively having a 15% off sale as the new Mrs. Dlwgosh and I look towards buying a home. Canadian made Samuelsohn is my go to (when I can afford it) brand of jackets and trousers and I'm trying to somehow convince my wife that I'd be losing money if I don't also go out and fill my closet with a bunch of their gear. Edward Green, John Lobb, Hober, Drakes, IWC, and JLC all have nothing to do with Canada but I'm trying to impress her that I need some of their stuff too. :D

...at the risk of being a very well dressed divorcee, however, I'll most likely continue to live vicariously and anonymously through the ballers of the forum for some time.

Can someone suggest a watch in the 6k to 10k range? A family member is thinking of buying me Bvlgari watch but I think the money could be better spent on a different brand. Suggestions?
