Cleav - E. Bonafe from Italy makes it for Aubercy. Sold at Leffot. But, sourced from E. Bonafe and not Aubercy. Cheaper that way. Hah!

Saving the pennies for another watch?

Also, Patek tried to sell me one of their cheaper watches. I had to politely decline. I said, please call me once you have something more rare, more ornately engraved, more complicated, bigger, thicker, and more expensive. Thank you.

Despite what people have said on this thread about the 5296, I still like that sector dial. At least in the eyes of this beholder, it is a thing of beauty!

You have mentioned this grail watch a few times...care to share what the grail watch is?

:lurk:

Of all the people to bite!

Hirsh pops in, quotes his older post, and doesn't interact.  It will be interesting to see this grail though....seems like months or years in the making.

Vintage Longines seem like a great deal but I have no clue where to start.  eBay has thousands of listings of crap and vintage sites seem to only go after the 13ZN movement pieces.

I thought Hirsch was a woman, not that it matters.

Exactly.  Just wondering what all the references to a grail without anything moret, will turn out to be.

+1 that is maybe not my fave Patek (by any means), but it sure does look sharp....clean and simple in a good way.

frilly, next time make sure it isn't 9:45 when you're taking the photos, cause we can't see both (watch)hands clearly LOL.

And that looks like a really cool experience! *jealous*

TBH I can't tell from pictures.  Long haired man or woman.

P.S. - Hirsh I am sorry....

The bombardment of offers to buy discounted watches used to be weekly, but I am now receiving emails more than daily.  I guess it's normal for the season, though I'm starting to be paranoid enough to believe that the more I look, the more they try to push me over the edge with an extended offer.

Any thoughts on this phenomenon?  Any bargain kopping inbound as a result?

From where?

Mainly Jomashop, but various.

Ah ok, I thought you were being bombarded by some individual seller. lol8[1].gif

I usually get one email from Joma a day, it is the only grey watch store that doesn't go to my junk pile though.
