A couple weeks ago I mentioned I was going to sell my GO Hand Date and hopefully move up to a higher end GO.  Well, sold the Hand Date and when it came time to buy its upgraded replacement I started having all kinds of indecision.  Was mainly going between a no date Sub and the GO Seventies and just couldn't convince myself to go through with it.

Then on Black Friday noticed that Amazon had a watch that I'd always liked that was an open box and had an additional 10% deal for that day.  The description indicated some small scratches on the case, but I figured if it was too bad that I would just return it. The price was at least 25% cheaper than the cheapest grey market pricing.  This is the 42mm Superocean Heritage with a green bezel and while not the horological equivalent of the others, definitely a design that has always appealed to me aesthetically.  Will switch to a non metal band soon, but am very happy to have the mesh band at the price I paid.

Best thing is, I can't find a single scratch on the body anywhere, it essentially looks brand new. So, for now I'm tabling any higher end purchases.

Looks really good. Kind of looks like the bezel is actually stationary?

You are literally killing me.

Since they are out of my size at Leffot, I am left to MTO what I really want from Skoak.

Those button boots are freaking AWESOME!

Love the boots but the owner is going to have to change his moniker because they are definitely frilly. tongue.gif

Here's the original vintage piece:

I'd be tempted to get the Longines had they kept the rotating bezel.

That Vintage Czech is SO sweet.

Cleav - E. Bonafe from Italy makes it for Aubercy. Sold at Leffot. But, sourced from E. Bonafe and not Aubercy. Cheaper that way. Hah!

Lovely session yesterday afternoon/evening at Patek USA's HQ c/o Wempe. Got to try my hand at disassembling a pocket watch ETA movement, stamping a Tiffany dial, etc. Fun!

Also, Patek tried to sell me one of their cheaper watches. I had to politely decline. I said, please call me once you have something more rare, more ornately engraved, more complicated, bigger, thicker, and more expensive. Thank you.
