Certainly! Bond St and Burlington Arcades are amazing places for watch lovers. But vintage watches are way overpriced in London, and this is a Norwegian speaking. Stick with the windowshopping.

^ I was wondering when you'd get around to some new wrist shots of that - very nice. I actually stopped by a Rolex AD today and tried that one on. While I think it looks great on your wrist, I found that it wore slightly smaller on me that I had hoped - definitely noticeably smaller than my sub.

When asked, the AD didn't belive it was being discontinued even though it's gone from Rolex' site.

Also went to another shop and got a new strap, will try to get a pic soon.

Yah been rotating watches in doubles, Sub & GMT got the wrist time for about a month.

To be fair the blue OP isn't technically being discontinued, they removed the "Air-King" name on the 34mm and that pretty much became the new blue Oyster Perpetual. It is the Air-King that is history. I think they are focusing the new 36mm OPs with the double batons on the 3,6,9?

I don't think the Rolex website shows everything available at any given time. I.e., here's the old 2012 MSRP list with a bazillion different SKUs.

True the Rolex website doesn't show everything (like the new RG Daytona with black dial and black ceramic bezel) but they have specifically removed the Air King and it has been reported in the most recent price book that dealers received recently that there are no more AKs and that it is pretty much the new OP.

They also updated the website to include the 34mm OP (pretty much the AK w/o the AK name on the dial): http://www.rolex.com/watches/oyster-perpetual/m114200-0014.html#cfgvar=dial

Yep. The AK wording is gone and the OP is now 34mm (with that 'Explorer' look shown above). The 36mm OPs now look different.

Oh hey, not bad. Decent selection and the prices seem much more reasonable than what I'm reading they charge for Vintage Omegas in London. Thanks!

Not even a one, sadly.. Some crazy Italian women who's been hanging around the house and stalking me at every turn (she claims to be my wife and the mother of my children rolleyes.gif) has been making threats against me (both physical and financial in nature) whenever the subject of my potential philandering comes up.

thread tl; dr, so I'll ask. what should I be considering for a used $5-6k watch? My daily watch is a Cartier Pasha Seatimer, so thinking a different style. IWC 3714?
