Thanks, guys! I'm very excited especially after such a long wait.
I generally like all the dial offerings for the RG DDII. However, after a couple years of window shopping, I had been set on chocolate with the rose gold for a very long time (both Daytona and DDII). The ivory is also very nice on both, but to my eye the chocolate/rose combo is just on a whole different level.

Rose with a brown dial is a great combination.  I've seen Cartiers, IWCs, Breguets, and Rolexs in RG with brown dials and all looked killer!  Although for some reason, when it comes to Rolex, I really like the brown with a DD or a DJ...but not as much on a Daytona (I find the darkened numerals and the subdials don't have enough contrast with the dial and they all just look muddled).  Anyway, not an issue since you went with a DDII.  Enjoy it!

Very nice.  Congrats on your degree and on the watch!  Keep the tradition going!

Congrats TC, I hope that you (and your wife) wear it in the best of health! I am sure that you won't be needing to hit the gym as frequently now.

And Foo, very nice Tank. I have always been a big fan of the ultra flat (or whatever it is called). It sang on my wrist as well.

Looks great!  Glad to see your Tank XL is getting some good wrist time.  Keep us posted on the situation with the PAM.

Dubail agreed they fucked up. In fact, salesperson originally responsible is no longer working for them, which I found out during my visit to their shop in Paris.

To make things right, they ordered a brand new 372 from Panerai. It should be delivered to me today.

A 116515 with a black dial and the standard indeces just came out/release(?) and man oh man so much want! Why can't Rolex put this on a damn bracelet yet though!?!?!

Great watch, too bad its not on a bracelet.  I'd only considering buying it on a bracelet.  Years ago I had a WG Daytona on a strap and it annoyed me that I couldn't add a bracelet once the bracelet version came out.  Never again. Besides, it always makes more sense to buy on a bracelet, work in a discount and buy a strap later if one is so inclined (since aftermarket parts are never really discounted), and straps are much cheaper than bracelets.

Thanks! Actually, I love the aesthetics of the rose gold daytona with chocolate dial and arabic numerals, but I agree, it's not very functional as it's extremely difficult to read.

Thanks! Mrs. TC's wrist is a lot smaller than mine so she can only wear the bracelet watches if I take a few links out (which I have no plans to do). smile.gif And yes, I was hoping the heft of this badboy on my left wrist will help me build up my left arm to match the size of my right. (mismatch being from tennis, of course).

I, as well as others, appreciate the clarification smile.gif.
