TC - that looks fantastic. And the weight of the RG must be awesome. The combination of the fluted bezel and Roman numerals also work really well for me. Great stuff all around - guess I'm treating you for a congratulatory lunch next time I am in Houston!

Thanks, my friend! Yes, the weight is very nice. Initially I kind of wished the romans were just a tad smaller (pretty blingy as Foo noted on a similar DJII dial), but now that I've had a chance to play with it in person for a few hours I think it works very, very well. Haha, please do let me know when you next come to Houston and I would be delighted to treat *you* to lunch! smile.gif

First, thanks to all you enablers here on TWAT and especially to you Rolex afficionados (Dino et al) who helped me debate the merits of all of the different precious metal models. I've greatly enjoyed the camaraderie here over the past year and that definitely pushed me over the edge on deciding to finally pull the trigger on my grail. I know that this watch is not a favorite of some of the folks here whom I respect the most, but in the end, I decided that I needed to follow my heart and that what my modest collection was sorely lacking was some seroius ROSE GOLD!!! smile.gif So, without further delay . . .

That empty pillow looks so lonely. It needs a watch head resting on it. wink.gif

BTW, nice looking box. Who's the maker?

^^^ Thanks again guys! I have to say, as much as I have obsessed about the arrival of this piece, it far exceeds expectations. Well worth the wait!! The rose gold with chocolate dial is really magical.

Love your Texas Timex, TC. wink.gif

Great choice TC.......you're officially a stunna!

Just curious......which other dials did you consider before pulling the trigger on the chocolate? I've seen a nice ivory dial with RG as well as a rose stick dial - all are nice and only make the decision tougher smile.gif

A co-worker of mine has a similar DJII, but with the rose gold dial. He wears it all the time and really rocks it more with office attire, but also goes casual with it as well.

I do believe I like yours better, TC.

Congratulations, bromie.

And yeah, I bet that must be one heavy sonofabitch biggrin.gif

Idk if this is the right place to ask so remove if deemed fitting.

I am looking for a  watch under 300$ to start my collection.  does anyone have a good recommendation?

I am currently looking at the Seagull 1963 re-issue.
