For me, I would look at it that with the bracelet model you can always put it on a strap later on if you want to.  However, with the strap version - because of the section between the lugs, you CAN'T add the bracelet to that version at a later date.  Besides, even if you could, it would make sense to get a discount on the watch and the bracelet, as most companies don't discount the parts bought later (and I'd rather get a discount on the bracelet than on the strap).

Thats is a solid point.

All the same, I much prefer that watch on a strap. Id use the 6600 for another watch. : )

Yea....but when you're playing at TC's level; what kind of junk does $6600 get you?? Bracelet all the way.

Thanks. Went through a period of many different watches and this one def made the keepers list. Sadly if your a fan of that colour combo they discontinued it, a shame as IMO the blue indices are striking. You can still get rose gold hands/indices though which is a nice second.

Thanks! Great build quality on Sinn, highly recommended. Good example of German watchmaking too in a market where many people presume quality only means Swiss.   I'm drawn to this one but have yet to bite the bullet....

I take the timing mentioned in the interview with a grain of salt. My former VC AD had talked about an them working on an in-house chronograph movement several years ago, and they still don't have one.   Plus, I imagine when they finally do have one...an Overseas chronograph with in-house movement will have an MSRP that is substantially more than the current model.

For me its not a big deal.  As long as the watch I'm buying has a very high quality movement, it doesn't have to be made in-house to make me happy.

I agree here, the FP 1185 is one of the finest movements out there. Though newer movements with power reserve of 60 hours would be handy. smile.gif

I wasn't in the watch market back then, did Daytona's price go up significantly when Rolex went in house in 2000?

Santoni FTW.

Awesome depth, and some great photography there.

I could sop up that strap with a biscuit.

Always wanted to visit.

I understand their "store" is a bit underwhelming (dodgy even? is it upstairs?) ...but they really know their stuff.
