I like the Daytona on a strap with YG or RG.  SS and Plat, please give me a bracelet.

Also my Quest Bar is not nearly as satisfying as anything on that plate...

^^ Steak looks a bit charcoaly on the outside.

@zippyh

Daytona + steak > Hamilton + reheated leftovers.

I like it, but I will only wear it in its' sterile state. If it says Hublot on the dial I wouldn't wear it; If it says AP or Patek I will wear it proudly. Come on, we all know it is about the name on the dial and if it is genuine.

Interesting?

Did you want a price on that Moser Mayu, btw?

I am getting the same iffy feeling on that AP as I do with the GO. It just doesn't strike me as something special. Are there better pics of it? Really would prefer no date if possible or if the date placements on the 6o'clock index to make the watch symmetrical.

Got to pass on the RO, too sporty. And it ain't no Hublot. biggrin.giflol8[1].gif

Sorry about not replying about the Moser btw, I thought they didn't have the Mayu in RG? If they do have a RG with black dial Mayu and you happen to be in the area then please try and get a price quote for me. Thanks!

Like a bad penny, the specter of Walt Odets reappears.

Walt is a well known clinical psychologist from the Bay Area, and I believe he grew tired of the watch collecting hobby. He was comparing Rolex workmanship to much finer Marques, and some consider it an unfair comparison.

Actually, in the linked post Odets is comparing the Rolex to much cheaper watches.

It's still the same crappy review that is years old now and been discredited by many for just as long.

Ah, cool--links?

He mentions Swatch, Patek and IWC in the article, but his expectations of the Explorer are based upon his familiarity with Trinity level pieces.

He writes "I include in [this] observation, a number of movements in extremely inexpensive watches," though, is the thing.
