Winner! Gold GMTII. Still debating black or green dial. I love everything about the WG pepsi except that it's WG and not SS. I love nothing about the Smurf. LOL

My vote is for the black dial !  The green dial always reminds me of the green on a pool table.   Either way, congrats!!!

I'd go for black dial as well.

I don't think the green dial goes with the yellow gold plus black bezel well.

Thanks although congrats are wayyyy premature, I'm still in the feasibility stage here. LOL

I'm glad to see there are votes for both dials and that I'm not completely alone in considering the green. I think the black dial is the safe/easy choice. It's super clean and goes with everything. There's just something about that green though . . .

My patek 5711. My favourite watch of all the watches I've owned....

Glad to see the black has to go with everything and not just the big hunk of YG on your wrist

Something about a solid YG Rolex that screams loud but I would wear it regularly.

I'd probably choose the black dial, too. But hell, if you're rocking a gold "sports watch", then you might as well go all in!

You've got a little time to try them both on a few times, and pick which is right for you.

I can see why.

Big fan.

I've been eyeing this one for awhile while looking for a something versatile. It beat out the exII I had in mind but I might still grab an ex1 to compliment it. I really needed something with a date function. I do think I prefer it on a strap though.

Also, I need to take better pictures.

^^^ That is one of the few (read only) Breitlings that I lust after. It looks great on a strap, but the OE mesh bracelet is the way I would go. You can always get one or two quality aftermarket straps for it for a change of pace.

Yeah I didn't want to blow a wad on an OEM strap so I ordered this.

I never really cared much for the Nautilus but I recently tried on a friends gold chronograph and was kinda smitten. Just when I thought I'd bought my last gold/bracelet watch........

But does it qualify as a dress watch?

Tried and True - I detested the Nautilus and spoke vigorously against it in the past. Then I tried the 5711 in the metal and on my wrist and, well, I fell in love with it.
