4 D batteries seem to last about 6-7 months. I've just used household energizer/duracell.

It's probably a New Year's kop, but I have been obsessing over it and, coincidentally, one of the second hand stores here in town apparently just took a really nice one in. I've been resisting the urge to go over and look at it . . . The problem is the "one for me one for her" agreement I have with Mrs. TC . . . that's gonna hurt. LOL

I wonder if that Portuguese Chrono is the culprit?  It's large, from a maker he likes and TWAT royalty doesn't, and he doesn't have a chrono on that winder.

But I look forward to expressing capricious and gratuitous judgement in due course.

(I would love a PC)

i hope it's a portuguese chrono...so when the TWAT illuminati shake off their inertia and come to stone us PC owners to death, chances are that Houston is closer!

Wait, ya'll hate the Portuguese Chrono?

An Exp 1 is perfectly acceptable as a dress watch by today's standards, even though it isn't purely a dress watch per se.

But should it be accepted by TWAT/SF/mimo's standards? wink.gif

I love IWC but really dislike the older port chrono. The new one however - humuhnah humuhnah.

I like the Portuguese Chrono.  To me it is a completely different watch than a Speedy or Daytona style Chrono.

That's more to do with wearing dive watches with suits, not so much the Exp 1.
