This is a very real issue, and I would love to see something different on the board

Good point! I should do it for the sake of the forvm!

I actually thought the MUT Moon was slightly more casual in person than I had assumed. But I also link size to formality; bigger being less formal to me. It's just something that's in my head.. I've never had much interest in the RDM and have never handled it, so I can't provide an opinion there.

Let me know when you are in Philly; if you need someone to convince you it's a good idea to purchase both I'll be happy to play the role of devil on your shoulder.

I will definitely let you know when I get to Philly. We could pop by Govberg for sure. I don't know if the purchase of both is even remotely in the books though, unfortunately! And interesting observation about the MUT Moon--I guess I always thought my JLC MC could be dressed down fairly easy, but I thought that was mainly attributed to the large bezel.

i am all for asymmetry, but i would stick with the MUTM of the two. i think it has a nicer look imo.

Yes, I definitely think the MUT Moon is more classic and objectively more appealing. But there is something about the RDM that I always found charming. I think I prefer the former version and its quirkiness, but the latter definitely has its charms. The new case is glorious.

well then, IT IS TIME TO BUY! :)

Also, to continue the theme: Speedy Pro and Halibut... not quite its natural environment!

Hah hah, love this pic! Good luck on the hunt, Newcomer! Alas, I believe I am on another hunt. Kind of. I'm half-hoping I don't find a good piece in the secondary market for the sake of my wallet, but the ever-familiar itch is back. Ugh.

Surely the proper companion for a halibut is a SeaMaster?

From a purely selfish and voyeuristic point of view, I'm looking forward to this: considering the level of awesomeness you have accrued from zero in a mere three months, the fact that you described this "itch" elsewhere as a "possible end-game watch", indicates it might be pretty spectacular, and certainly in the eyes of cheap bums like me. So, thanks in advance!

Hah, mimo, you are such an enabler! That's a compliment, by the way. I guess that goes for a bunch of other SFers, especially the ones posting in this thread.

But for now, ssssh... I'm hunting. Don't want to scare away the prey. If I don't post as often over the next week or so, well, it's because I'm hunting.

Red Sub! God, there's so many watches that I want.

Looks hawt on that NATO.

Edit: Maybe that's a Zulu. Either way.
