Very cool. He definitely does have his own style, and I don't like some of it, but some of it is pretty freaking awesome, and he sure as hell has some serious wrist pieces.

Tell him I said, sup!

Also tried an annual calendar ref 5205R black dial.

Although, to paraphrase one famous saying... "Once you go perpetual, you never go back."

(Unless it's to binge on steel Rolex divers that is)

I'm lucky. I have slim wrists and the new 34mm Rolexes have thicker cases and wider lugs, so its smaller size is less noticeable than before IMO.

Lovely watches, Frilly!

That Patek, estitchy, the first one is gorgeous!

Question: how much does it cost to change the cristal of a Rolex Submariner? There is going to be one in auction from 1974, I loved how it looked, it has that vintage look, it's at a nice price but the cristal has damage, nothing compromised but would definitely needs a change. Bidding starts at $13,000 pesos, that's around $1,000 usd. There is also a Dayntona in steel with black dial starting at $30,000 pesos, that's around $2,200 usd.

I like the color combination of the rose with black, at least in the more distant photo.  However, I just don't love the dial with apertures for day, date, and month.  I find it distracting and for me it ruins the flow of the dial.  I'd rather have subdials, although I think the 24 hr indicater and moon phase are a little too large.  Your 5040 is looking beautiful as always!

@no frills I didn't even know such a thing existed.  Truly extraordinary.  So, sorry if I'm a little slow on this, have you actually kopped the Deep Blue?  You are something.  Also, with your increasing interest in big butts and "never go back" reference, I'm wondering if dive watches are the only example of your evolving taste?  Next thing you'll be dating Nicky Minaj...

Hahah - why yes mimo I did kop the D-Blue. There are... interesting complications though, so I will be taking her back to the AD on Thursday to switch out the piece (to another D-Blue). The pics I posted for rnguy001 were taken a few weeks ago, when I bought a D-Blue in Texas for a friend.

Once this "saga" is over I will take proper wrist shots of MY D-Blue on MY wrist - although in spirit I suppose I've always had one since Rolex came out with their ill-executed launch last August 4.
