The point that Rolex allowed Tiffany to add their mark is what creates rarity. Why should it matter if Rolex, Tiffany or a third party actually performed the work?

Regarding the new DSSD.

So I dont mind the proportions.
To be honest, I also dont mind all the letters.
I actually really really like the gradient dial.
The blue lume is super cool.
Can say the black bezel + blue/black dial works.
Holy moly I absolutely hate the green lettering. Completely kills the entire watch for me. It actually makes the watch look like its from K B Toys.

What a shame, imho.

Bonus for anyone who finds the hidden message!!!

Can anyone recommend an appraiser in the DC / MD area for insurance purposes? I inherited a 16200 Datejust and 16610lv that need to be insured. Please PM me if it's against forum rules to post names of appraisers. I'm really excited that my collection is taking shape but want to make sure I'm protected!

Btw - a local jewelry store (Liljenquist and Beckstead) quoted ~$100 to appraise each piece. Is that a reasonable price? I have a few other watches I may want appraised as well if insurance doesn't accept the purchase invoice since it's been a few years so I'm curious if appraisers do volume discounts.

Don't know if Stitchy offers that service personally, but I bet he knows someone in DC who does.

Next-level deciphering. I think that last part was so hidden that even Stitchy didn't know it was there.

LOL, thanks! While I think it's a cool piece, it wouldn't crack the top 10 on my wish list, so no danger there . . . smile.gif

This is true, I shall not be buying it. Especially after what the Seahawks did to my beloved Broncos!!

To be fair, I do keep one of these around, for situations like this:

Poor planning caused me to end up wearing my RO to band rehearsal last night. If there ever were an environment where something could get banged up, this is it. Fortunately I think we made it through unscathed.
