Fully bespoke so I don't know when I'll get it, but it cost a fortune and has to last a long time!(watch on black shiny crocodile that it came with ATM but I wanted a special strap - it's one of my many birthday presents to myself!!!)smile.gif

You will have to post some pix when your new strap arrives.  As for it lasting a long time...depends a bit on how much you wear it and your environment...really hot humid weather where you will perspire a lot generally expedites the death of nice straps.  But hopefully you will get a few years out of it.

I have a few Stowa straps. I would avoid the $20 euro ones. They seem alright at first but they don't age well. The other one I have is the black nappa leather. Very nice leather and holds up well. I imagine the croc is the same.

Mind you the Master Ultra Thin Jubilee is a cracker too.

I am considering a Reverso too, and have narrowed down my choice to the Grande Taille, Ultra Thin or Classique as I want the steel back. I am passing through Heathrow T5 on Friday and might pull the trigger at the Mappin & Webb store there to take advantage of the VAT discount.

Agreed about the steel back: I found the GT a bit small actually; the UT or 1931 are nicer on the wrist I thought.

Hmmm, so I was reading the 'Dink the other day, and they said something about the Reverso receiving a "major overhaul" in 2016. I have to say, that certainly piques my curiosity. I really don't know what it could be.

Read that this morning too.  The words "Major Overhaul" never invoke good thoughts on such an iconic design.

Someone in the comments suggested maybe a change as to the direction that it slides. That would be interesting. I doubt that would be the change though.

Makes me want to pick up one like the above in the interim before any changes are actually made!

They're making one based on the iPod Nano but with facial recognition and an electronic pedometer.  The first line up will include GI Joe and Hello Kitty special editions.  It's true.  It's on the internet.

Nah — for one thing, the crown would have to be on the left side.

As a Richemont brand, I wouldn't even be that surprised. You can't even joke about a Batman edition because that one actually exists.

Good call. Hmmmm, it has me intrigued. I hope they don't "Cartier Tank MC-ify" it.

I think the case has gotten a larger footprint overall in the past several years although I did try on the Ultra Thin at a boutique about a year ago. Anyway… more and better pix Culver… let's see the new piece!
