A great "one watch" if some sick bastard were so inclined. (One watch?! Ha!)

Congrats on the new purchases, guys.

Thanks guys. I can keep a secret, so it won't be too hard. I may continue with some teasing clues, though.

So, just wanted to test the waters here. What say you all about the VC Patrimony Traditionelle Small Seconds?

This is one of the watches I had the pleasure of trying out in New York. And one that I hope that I get to see again when Keith T and I have a mini-TWAT meet-up tomorrow. I have always loved this watch, but I kind of put it on the back burner for a little while. And Hodinkee's post today kind of rekindled the fire that I once had for this watch. Personally, I think it is the best executed time only watch out there.

The most time that goes on, the more I realize how much I love simple, round watches. And this may be the ne plus ultra of simple round watches.

With all the recent talk of AP ROs I thought I'd post one of my own - casual Friday working at home.

That VC has been on my radar for quite a while, too. Lovely... But I must say the AL&S reviewed in the article gives the VC a run for it's money. The new AL&S 38.5mm 1815 is also beautiful:

As is the AL&S Saxonia Automatic released a couple of years ago:

Thoughts?

You know, I have to say, I am not the biggest fan of that Lange. I strongly prefer the aub/auf. Do not get me wrong, it is a beautiful watch. But I find it a bit cold compared to the VC. I love German austerity as much as the next guy, but this may be a little bit too austere and German for me. Plus, there are other Langes that I prefer. As Ben @ Hodinkee mentioned, this is probably my favorite VC.

Plus, I just want to follow Dino's footsteps and get a time-only VC as my first nice watch.
