Congrats on the Sapphire Sandwich Speedmaster and the DJ!

I am impressed at your ability to keep a secret. I would have blabbed within five minutes of purchasing.

And the Speedmaster is a great watch, and I envy your ability to admire that lovely movement.

Thank you gentlemen. I must say, I'm finding myself almost giddy every time I look at my left wrist today. The timeless beauty, the simplicity, the functionality, the size of it (not succumbing to the gargantuan watch fad), the fact that the average person will have no idea what it really is ... and I can have a peek under the hood at my leisure. This is truly a watch that can go pretty much anywhere I need a watch to go.

Apple pie or Custard?

Damn two new kops before I can even get home from work!  Looking great even though one is for the wife.  The hopes of a Tank Solo while in Spain are fading as we are buying a fence and possibly windows in the next week.  Hell those two things are adding up to Jumbo territory but I doubt the wife sees it as the same trade off...

Except deep water. Although I swam with mine on in both the ocean and pools without a problem.

Congrats to you and Mrs. Wraith!  Great choice.  My wife has had an DJ on an Oyster Bracelet for several years, and she is very happy with it.  I'm sure Mrs. Wraith will enjoy hers!  Congrats again!

If I were ever to find myself in water deeper than 30 meters, I assure you, I will have stopped ticking long before my watch. wink.gif

Congrats Boston!  Glad to see you got the one that really called out to you.  I like being able to see the movement on the Speedy.  Enjoy it in good health!

JB....windows alone are a b*tch !!!  A buddy of mine had to replace all the windows in his house....cha ching, cha ching, cha ching....$28K later his house had all new windows.  So for now he has to be content with his current watch collection and new windows.  Hope your windows & fence still leave some Tank spending money.  Good luck!

Sigh, late to the party. Lots of great posts today!

TC - I may in the minority with you, but I love those RG pieces on the brown straps. The gold case and brown strap just does it for me. Although I think the Nautilus and AP's have some of the best bracelets in the world, I'm not a gold bracelet guy. It's too much. Steel bracelets? Sure. Gold bracelets - I think for the most part they look a little tacky and aren't worth the money most of the times.

Thank you, sir. In all honesty, I wasn't really "dead split" between the two. wink.gif
