Or perennially an hour late, so her husband took steps.

Thanks all around guys! Fortunately, TX is a bit easier than LA.

I am loving all this Rolex blue... that DJ / TOG action is sweet! I forgot that you had a DJ Frills.

Also, in the spirit of the thread, I tend to be fairly one-minded in my hypotheticals icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

thanks!

Oyster is how they refer to their cases, as they were some of, if not the, first to make a truly water resistant watch to deep levels, so they call it an oyster. Perpetual just refers to the self winding movement, something that Rolex improved upon in wristwatches, but did not invent.

Oyster refers to their waterproofing. perpetual, I'm not entirely sure, but I think it just refers to their "perpetually" winding automatic movements. I could be totally wrong though.

Ahhhh...! Nice, thank you guys! I thought that the Oyster plus the Perpetual was something about the movement being made of. Completely different story.

Speaking of blue (and of cushion cases), I found one I was surprised to like. Surprised, as I usually only like the simplest of Panerais. This is stil simple, but the minute ring, applied markers and blue dial is somewhat of a departure from the historic Pannys.

White gold, 42mm. Chézard cal 7400 movement with dead beat seconds (fun, because you can trick your friends into believing it's a quartz tongue.gif.) Limited edition from 2001, 160 made. Even found a NOS for sale.

It's gorgeous.

Don't believe I've ever seen that one.....sounds....interesting.

Saw that one in person at the Panerai boutique in Florence back in 2005. Looks better in person. Was one of the older special editions they had available for sale.
