So - Nuke, you're not the only person who has recommended Freda here. I got a CF croc strap from them last week... I have seen CF straps in person before, and I have no reason to believe it's not genuine, but I found it odd that it does not say "Genuine Alligator" or "Genuine Crocodile" anywhere. Also, I would have liked another mm of padding, but for the price, I'm in no position complain about that! Do CF straps really not have the material stamped inside the strap?

My alligator leather strap^ is supplied by Camille Fournet. (They supply oem to some brands). It does not state the material on the lining, only embossed "Camille Fournet Paris". smile.gif

^@foley...would you consider a JLC Memovox in Rose Gold?

About $17K I believe. Doesn't have the display back so fails in comparison to the ALS and GO in that regard.

That's really beautiful in rose gold. My intention was to get something with a display back, but the alarm function adds a different twist. I think the key for me will be what I can find to try on. There is a JLC dealer nearby my home but the selection is pretty slim, so I search out dealers when I have time on business trips.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Buy it. If you don't like it I'll buy it from you for 50% of what you paid. Win/win! Seriously it looks fantastic in that image but I think that's because the dial looks grey. I think it's actually more white in real life as I've seen in some other images.

See, this place is all about community!  Giving selflessly to one's TWAT brother.

I saw this a while back - dial is indeed a silvery white.

Regarding the VC 1921 suggestion - I found myself very attracted to this watch, even more so when I discovered that a new mechanism was developed for it in order to fit appropriately for the 40mm size. But I forgot one vital detail - I wear my watch on my right wrist! Hence, the rotated face of the 1921 is in the wrong direction and i think would feel like I was reading it almost upside down. So that one is out I'm afraid. Perhaps I should write to VC and complain of discrimination against us right-wristed folks.

decisions, decisions... should I put the money in my IRA or go pick this baby up this weekend ?!?

That is a rhetorical question, presumably?

Whoa move that RG memovox to #2 on the list behind the Lange!

I was a little hesitant about getting my RG watch but I'm glad I did now. It really pops in a way that SS and WG will not

Depends on how long it will sit in your IRA...I am a saver by nature so I would pick IRA but this is TWAT and we (mostly Mimo) are enablers.  :nodding:
