How was the weather?

Weather was fantastic. Cool in the mornings and evenings so bring a light jacket. T-shirt is fine during the day especially if the sun is out. But we had one day when it POURED (hey it's Florida, and the weather forecast have us ample warning). We had ponchos on and we were fine.

I totally relate. I had not obsessed about a watch in the way I have about the Royal Oak.

This watch thing is such an addiction. I had not bought a watch for myself since 2005, and now I'm already working on the next acquisition. LOL

Yep! Unfortunately I have found that my sapphire sandwich speedy pro does not work on a strap for me. I found that since it wears tighter on the strap than the bracelet, the super smooth surface of the sapphire does not allow for any air under the watch head. It really irritates my skin. This is my first time with a sapphire backed Speedy. All of my others were SS backs. Oh well. I'm going to start off by selling the OEM croc strap and deployant. I may end up selling the watch as well or trading it for a hesalite pro...

Well, I certainly don't mind the rubber strap on my Aquanaut.

In fact I think it's a perfect fit. :)

I know that not all of you will like this one. It isn't swiss nor auto but I still love old Seiko quartz watches. They are cheap, neat, reliable workhorses.

Just left the AD after failing to kop a new piece. When I hinted at what discount I was expecting they first laughed like they thought I was joking, and then got offended when they realized I was serious. Guess I will be doing the whole wire transfer fedex routine. Oh well. smile.gif

Nothing wrong with that routine! haha. I have done it many a time! Any hints to what you're looking at?

It's something that has been on my wishlist for a long time, probably somewhat predictable but I will keep it a mystery for now. It's in the works and I will surely post pics when it arrives! I contacted the guy who sourced the AP and he assured me he could get it for me quickly at the price I want. Stay tuned!

Just returned from a lovely NYE celebration at the club

Thought I'd wear the first watch bought for me by the Duchess, goes with the Black tie I felt. its a RW approx 26 years old, nothing fancy, just sentimental value and for me suits the garb.

HNY to you all
