I do prefer the German watch makers, Mimo. The only other place I have lived outside of PA was in Germany, so maybe that's why I have a soft spot for them.

Nuke had never handled a Nomos before and I thought he should. They are very nicely finished for their price point, and should be handled in the flesh to be appreciated. I think Nuke was a bit smitten. I regret not putting some Langes on my wrist, but they were busy and I now have another good reason to visit Frills.

It's the SF official tie I was sporting. The manager knew what was up.

Germany has some great brands like Lange & Söhne.  It's odd that many other countries simply don't have high end watches, like, afaik, the USA.  Guess it's one of those cultural/history of doing it things.

An inside joke of course...but...what?

Not that inside, or so I thought. Reference to the popular striped grenadine from Hober which you'll seen in numerous fit pics from various members.

VERY nice. Of course, the cufflinks sort of get their thunder stolen by the timepiece a few inches away. Drooooooool.

In a few posts several hundred pages back I wrote that I couldn't see myself wearing Patek cufflinks. Then again I also once said I hated the Nautilus. As usual after handling the darn things and seeing them in the flesh, the story changes.

Willpower eroding.............

Chronoswiss lunar today. Under appreciated brand IMO.

^^^ That's one classy-looking chrono.

not sure they are under appreciated, but certainly not often talked about or seen in the wild, but fantastic watches with a very cool brand/owner history. very nice that one.

Come close more than once to getting Breguet cuff links. I doubt I will be able to hold out forever.

Agreed. Lang is a cool guy and I like his stuff. Looked at the Opus Squelette a couple of times. Really like that one.
