The Watch Appreciation Thread (Reviews and Photos of Men's Timepieces by Rolex, Patek Philippe, Breitling, JLC etc...) - Page 1796

Hi. Was hoping to get some thoughts / opinions on the Omega GMT? I'm considering this one:

Other recommendations for similar watches appreciated.

While I'm sure they are nice watches, I'm not too fond of Rolex. The "speedy" I guess is ok, but I prefer a combination of practical and looks.

oh nice, is that a 321 in the center?icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Thanks all.  For the historical enthusiasts, I respect the desire to own the 3570.50 but I would definitely prefer to display the movement.

And definitely worth a rear view.  If Rolex is Kupton,

Nice! I am really excited to see it. I think I will likely bring my Speedmaster. Traveling with my MUT Moon makes me a little nervous shog[1].gif

Thanks buddy! I can't wait myself to see the happy faces of their new owners, and to see my watches worn in the wild (for some folks, literally).

Thanks for your well wishes and kind words! It is my great honor to be a part of this community! biggrin.gif

The next few days and next week will be especially exciting as I expect the watches to reach me and the leather cases to be completed. The Red dial is looking very, very nice in the flesh. Perfect for Christmas and the New Year festivities!

B - good news. Really looking forward to seeing the red dial version in particular.

I will admit Queen Bee is an incredibly lovely woman.  Not just that - I've watched her live and all that singing and dancing is pretty insane.

Do you need the GMT functionality?  The reason I ask is that watch has a lot going on with the dial.  The Planet Ocean GMT is a little cleaner but is larger and takes on more of a Rolex feel which you said you were not fond of: http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/seamaster/planet-ocean-600-m/co-axial-gmt-435/23230442201001

I'm sure others will chime in as I am stuck on what else to recommend without a little more information on what you like.

Snowstorm today in NYC. So to prep adequately I first put on my Patek, wore my corduroy pants, and finished with my awesome reverse leather boots from Rider Boot Co by way of Leffot. Oh right I also put in a shirt, pea coat, scarf and fedora.
