In keeping with recent Rolex posts here's a couple from me. First, my cousin's loot for this trip to NYC (she is based in London). Two black dial beauties:

Here I am at Patek USA's offices getting a short strap for her 5035. Of course I wore a Daytona. I almost got thrown out of HSWA! Hahaha kidding.

I just saw this, and ya Apropos that is way f'g cool. Not sure why you would be hesitant about the reverse engraving... that is fantastic. I look forward to having one of my Reversos personally engraved as well someday. Nice job and enjoy!

aside from that onion shaped crown, it looks quite like the 5119.

To all who did and didn't chime on my Speedmaster strap decision... I decided to go OEM.

Ranjeev - the Zenith Chronomaster is a nice watch, but like Dino, not a fan of their open designs so I'd go with the traditional model if that's where you were thinking.. I'd be happy with either the Daytona or Zenith, but I think the Daytona would look great in your collection and would really 'elevate it.' Plus, if you were ever to think about trading in or selling the Zenith you'd take a significant hit. If that's not at all important and you don't care about resale value, then go with your heart on this one, because both are quality timepieces.

Shanghai - beautiful GO,

Steel - SubC looking great as usual!

Personally I disliked what Zenith was doing for a while there with their semi open faced dials etc... It seems how ever they are headed back in the right direction and i have been eyeing up their "new" 1969 chrono with the tri-color dial. Was going to add a speedy to the collection this christmas but may postpone that for this one.

Well, this is awkward. I don't think it's real. As in... not genuine, fake-o, forgery, counterfeit, sham.

I just google imaged 'patek roman' and that was the first image - didn't even notice the crown. I'm pretty sure they didn't make a basic Calatrava with an onion crown.

It's a pretty nice watch IRL - especially in the 38mm format - but the bracelet for that watch is a polished monstrosity. It looks much nicer on a strap!
