The Watch Appreciation Thread (Reviews and Photos of Men's Timepieces by Rolex, Patek Philippe, Breitling, JLC etc...) - Page 1572

Sweet! Looks like a great choice, Roger.

Brown croc FTW!

Cool fact on the El Primero, when you pull out the crown to set the time, the first stop is for the minute hand, rather than the date wheel.

This is opposite from all of my other watches with a date function day counter.

Thanks gents.  This may be the most fun watch purchase ever.  In chatting with the buyer, we discovered that we have a mutual friend (and fellow watch nut) so the three of us are meeting for lunch followed by a round of golf tomorrow.  Pics on Thursday for sure.

I've owned a number of Zeniths in the past (Rainbow, Chronomaster, Port Royal) but it's been a good many years since the last one.  The long years of Thierry Nataf design extravagance did not sit well with me.  But he is long gone and the brand is now moving in the right direction, IMO.

I'll be coming to NYC so you can introduce me to your dealers biggrin.gif.  Anyhow I am in no rush.... and I think I might be leaning more towards the 114270 to satisfy my current itch and then next Spring the 116200 for a "b-day" present for the wife.  Ha!

Best wishes on the upcoming lottery win - learned a bunch from this thread myself and continue to do so.  The PPs will be waiting for you - and if you ever make it to NYC let me know too so we can check out the watch scene.

In the meantime, I love the 114270 and the 116520.  Good stuff, and let us know if you decide to get 'em!

I am in Colorado for a business trip and spotted this wall clock in the resort where I'm staying.  Nice touch, 'no?  Lovely young staffer - who I engaged in casual conversation because I was interested in the wall clock, not her personal attributes necessarily - tells me that their former General Manager was Swiss and was the one who picked these out (there were three of them).

I really like the way  that Zenith executes the chronograph.

Very nice, Congrats Roger.

I made a little test to find out which watch suits your style. The test looks like this:

So, I'm a IWC guy :). You can try the test here. Tell me what you think!

I think this could save me a lot of unnecessary thinking! Please tell me what other products I should definitely buy based on clicking simple-minded binary options.

... eusa_think.gif ...

On the other hand, this type of thing could help explain what's up with IWC recently.

You are definitely staying at the right place!

Actually a former AD for AP, Patek, JLC and a few others used to have a similar RO wall clock and IIRC he also had a PP Ellipse wall clock.
