No and no.  It is somewhat on the dressier side of the scale, as chronos go.  Certainly dressier than the Speedy.

Doubtful...I think that's more expensive than a Speedy...and I thought Roger mentioned its priced about the same as a Speedy.

A reasonable guess (but wrong) - retail price of the new one is comparable to that of the Speedy 9300 - which is itself a good deal more than the regular Speedy hand-wind.

but this is pre-owned, so that put a lot more in the hat no?

now i guess GO.

hmmm...hint? Is it German?

Edit: Stitchy beat me to it.

Yes- pre-owned makes pricing a wild-card, that's why I'm giving the retail price of new watch as comparable to the retail price of the Speedy 9300 (around $8500-8900 depending on where you're at).  So the new one retails in that ballpark.

And it's not a GO.

I was looking at both the incoming piece and the Speedy 9300 new some time ago, and went with the Speedy because I had very few sporty watches.  The other one isn't a dress watch - but it's one I would happily wear with a suit - something I wouldn't generally choose to do with the Speedy.

I'll take a guess and say it's in the 36'000 VPH collection? There are some dressier Chrono's in that collection

I'm not naturally coy, so I won't tease out the specific model - here are a couple random web pics of the watch in question - the Captain Chronograph:

Roger congrats!!!  I really love the rose hands and hour markers on the silver dial with the white metal case.  They have a nice contrast.

Congrats Roger

Can't wait to see pics

Ha!  Was going to guess the Striking 10th, but I see what you mean about "dressier chrono".  That's beautiful, Roger, congratulations!  Now bring those pics....(and you, Hammer)  :)
