It also does a great job illustrating how badly I want a ROO Diver.

^ Do it! There's one for sale on the forums for like $12.5k right now. Excellent price... if my wrists didn't look like they belong to a 13 year old girl (and I wasn't a few $k short) it would be mine.

Divers have always been my favorite style and the AP is a homerun IMO. I've been fortunate enough to see a couple in the wild and they are truly magnificent in person.

edit: And on that note, I think I am going to try and save for a 39mm ROC with a rubber strap.

man...thats a doable price. Ive been trying to work a deal with someone locally for awhile. Looks like i may have a pretty solid offer on the bulk of my watches. I was REALLY wanting a nautilus but im not sure if thats going to be doable.

I have been really wanting a Nautilus as well. Like, bad. I don't know why I feel this way all of a sudden. It just makes sense. And I tried one on my wrist, and it just looked so good. I have a really flat wrist, so it really sat nicely.

I have decided officially to just start saving until I can buy a big boy piece. May be a couple of years from now, but I am just so content with what I have right now that I see no reason to piddle around.

Also, Scott and others who are interested in O&J, Hodinkee has a cool video today about visiting their studio!

thats what im leaning toward. I was thinking about all the watches ive owned...WAY too many. and I think im getting to the age where just one special grail piece is all id need. possibly keep my GMT though. I remember years ago you could kop an old nautilus on the grey market for 10K ish. I wish i could go back lol8[1].gif

I did not know much about watches in those times smile.gif. And yeah, I have got a Speedy Pro and a MUT Moon. What more does a man need really? And that is just absurd, hopefully we hit rock bottom prices again.

For me, if I had the means this would be endgame:

slight amendment to the picture, the Lange 1 would be moonphase

^^fuck yes. that world time has always been a grail of mine. But I think my budget is gonna be WAY too small to afford that world time. Id be just as happy with a nautilus though.

Mmmm....dangerous game, but fun...non TWAT-approved, but I love them so much. Along with plenty of others; I guess it's like trying to pick the Rolex list.

Yo Frilly, how many "endgames" have you had so far? lol8[1].gif

Cylon, we really do get each other. Lange 1 Moonphase is my grail. I would like the worldtimer with the cloisonne dial though. With that said, I would not kick either out of bed.

Regarding the Daytona vs Port Chrono vs RO Chrono, I would choose (and have chosen) the Daytona every time icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I do like the new Port, en excellent upgrade! (I like the old one as well.) At that price point though, if you are not set on a chrono, I think maybe the 7-days Port is more interesting from IWC?

The RO Chrono looks amazing, and there are many dial variations that press all my buttons. Certainly way classier that any ROO. I was going to get one at one point, but on my hand the chrono was even more uncomfortable than the RO (15300, which I owned for a short while and sold). The clasp and the otherwise amazing bracelet just isn't for me.

Comfort is very important to me, not only looks. The Daytona is just a cats tail around my wrist, only beaten by my Nautilus.

Also, everybody knows the Panda dial is the one to get nod[1].gif

when i tried it on, i quite liked the factory finish. not sure id prefer the all brushed. the duality of the polish and brushed is quite nice in person. im not certain, but i think there are a few places i might consider letting brush my rolex. oh wait. no there is not. that i know of anyways.

All of these watches are monstrosities. The Rolex least so. I never thought I'd catch myself defending the DSSD. One of those watches is plastic.
