Red "R" in place of "8" and the inner track embellished with touches of red. As Romp mentioned, distribution is limited to Italy

And yes looks great on your wrist!

more info: http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2011/4...ounces-a-master-ultra-thin-reverso-limit.html

Thanks for clarifying. I haven't been following JLC as closely as I used to, and the photo was a bit small to see the differences. But the info regarding the rational for using a red R at the 8 marker is very cool!

The fagliano strap--it looks gorgeous, but a strap will have to be replaced someday! I am not sure if I like the hands on the special edition. Thats more of whats at stake for me...I go back and forth on it. For that reason alone I would opt for the vanilla version.

Heres the US edition. Notice the different stitching on the strap, more patina to the dial markers, and the pointed baton hands versus the flared sword hands on the worldwide edition. It certainly has added character

and to compare:

Loving all the JLCs of late guys. Beautiful!

Again my fault for not following JLC as closely as I should recently, but your post clarified why I've seen differnet hands & stitching posted in photos on the net. So thank you. I was in Canada in the fall and tried on a Reverso 1931 and I greatly prefer the hands, dial and stitching on the world wide model over the US version (although I'd gladly accept either if my Wife wanted to buy one for me). Thanks again for your your informative post.

PS - gdl, I ended up with a Bond-style black/grey/orange NATO for my Exp 1.
I can almost feel your  across the globe right now.

Nothing wrong with that - Rolex sport watches on bond and nato straps are fine. You need other straps though - you'll get tired of that setup quickly IMO

nice Omega apropos! Looks great!

Interesting variations on the JLC Reverso US edition... I like the face but something about the stitching on the strap seems a little odd....hard to tell w/ just that one pic but love the watch!

Just found out that my Explorer II with the 3186 movement is worth $1.5k more now than when I bought it.

I don't have any intentions of ever selling it but it's nice to know that it's sought after!

Well, apart from starting this nice thread, it is a cool shot.

the "thin/thick" thing is not what IMO makes the watch look feminine... part of this is skewed perception now w/ all the ridiculously too large watches out there to begin with. just sayin

its not the thickness of the case with some of the reversos for me. its the width and height. on my wrist instead of looking elegant its looks teeny tiny.
