I'm certainly not immune .

Here ya go from the other night. I changed to the black alligator as I was wearing black boots. (for some reason I thought I had posted these, I know I posted them on TZ & have converted a few - must be the Guido effect )

Here's a real rarity, reported stolen on another board. It disappeared from a courier shipment in Italy:

I'm thinking that it will only look better when the strap gets worn, abused, & spilt on!

Especially in summer.

FYI - the strap is made of a nylon sail-like cloth with a water-proof soft leather backing.

I would dunk that strap in strong black coffee right now. It will do it a world of good. JMO. Larry

In my blog, I post one vintage (in a VERY liberal view...) watch every Sunday, and I thought I might as well share it with you.

More will come, stay tuned.

anyone know of a good place online to get an aftermarket croco leather band with deployment clasp? or are these things typically sold seperately?

there are a few large-scale croc strap sellers on the timezone sale forum
they also sell aftermarket deployants, though I find the OEM a bit nicer (and 5-10x the price)
croc straps (new) range from about $75 to 250+ for the OEM

I don't know what kind of over-designed crap Zenith likes to put out now but you should look at Zenith El Primero powered chronographs from a few years ago, which have similar design, instead of that Burberry watch and its $10 quartz movement.

I didnt at first, but the more and more I see that picture I really like the strap. Mind if I ask where you got it from?
