Never planned on buying another PAM, but I got this 177 at an irresistible price.

Also I returned the PAM 203 I wrote about earlier. A friend, who has collected PAMs for awhile, told me that the deal sounded too good to be true and many ADs would never recognize a solid fake. I decided to play it safe and returned the 203 (I'll be kicking myself if I find out if it was a gen).

I'm not exactly a Paneristo, but I must say this:

YOU...RETURNED...A...PANERAI...203?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Same with Corum, but these guys take it to the max. Here's the Corum Bubble casino, the ultimate Vegas watch, even more showy than the leopard diamond decked Rolex Daytona that is floating around the net.

Not a pam fan myself but I must admit they look like old Soviet Tanks--not necessarily elegant but get the job done.

It was being sold to me without any papers or boxes (and I was paying a fair amount of $ for it). Just playing it safe, though I may come to regret it

Since we seem to be discussing "ugly oversized sport watches"... Here is a link (with video) about a really weird watch?! Uses compressed air and has a rather strange dial

Well actually you can get it in Singapore for 90K

That's my point - I was paying nowhere close to that, and that made me all the more suspicious. Not getting it from an AD but an acquaintance who is a watch collector.

Some good Panerai pics here. Just ordered a new PAM 111 - I'll take some pics when it arrives.

what do you think of this zenith defy aero?

Is it a good buy for a dress/everyday watch? I'm loving the Brushed Solid 18K Rose Gold and don't like to wear leather bands personally.

Looks like my Timex Expedition that was much reviled in WAYWT. As was noted there, I wouldn't consider the style a "dress" watch.
