I haven't handled the Chrono, but if Mike Stuffler is impressed that is usually an excellent assurance. Beautiful watch.

It's discontinued, but the current one - Speedbird III - is sold here.

Why?

The TF watches are quite good values, actually.

The case steel on both the Speedbird III and the 656 is the same (316L Stainless).
The case diameter on both is basically the same (39mm and 38.5mm).
The movement in both is the same (ETA 2824-2).
The anti-magnetic treatment in both is the same (80,000 A/m).
The water "resistance" on both is the same (100m).
The crystal on both is the same (sapphire).
The A-R coating on both is basically the same (underside on the Speedbird; both sides (can be a pain) on the Sinn).

Obviously, the dials are quite different and that is purely a subjective issue.

The price difference is not the same. $545 for the Speedbird; $1050 for the Sinn.
I don't see that the 656 is a better watch at almost twice the price.

just for the dial design for the most part, the SB3 is a nice watch and a good price as all the time factors watches are, i just prefer the 656

Is that in reference to my post? I am not sure what you mean by that.

I am going to make a birthday purchase for myself and I am trying to decide between the matte and the polished Stowa Marine Roman. Thoughts?
