this has become pretty much my onewatch. foo.gif A couple years ago i had built up a pretty nice collection of 13 watches..then my house was broken into and i lost 11 of them. Then i sold the 2 panerais i had left to fund this and some guitar stuff. I picked up a couple IWCs along theway and I wear my wife's panerai sometimes. But this guy sees 99% of the wrist time.

That's so sad to hear, how about insurance or you didn't have that? Would be great to see all the watches you have now :) I love IWC...

My contribution:

May not be most expensive or desirable watch out there, but from very first moment I saw a Mcqueen Monaco, a Heuer 1133B was my (realistic) grail watch.

Just saw this interesting photo essay on JLC's beautiful enameled master tourbillons. Well worth clicking on.

Here's another pretty crazy watch:

Liked the strap on it, nothing more.

Really sorry for your loss.  Perhaps we should discuss insurance on watches.  I've never done it, I have a very heavy safe and deposit box for the fancy things.  Some companies specialize in insurance for timepieces.  Thoughts?
