Nice 372 Dukerules - is that still on the original OEM?

For military style watches...not really thinking pilot for which I prefer IWC or Glashutte. Which of these would you choose?

Still pilot - but I'd pick the Sinn.

Picking from of these two - Sinn by a long head (but Panerai is good - different price bracket though)

If I wanted a cheap military inspired watch I'd go for a Timex Expedition or a Victorinox. Moving upward, then Stowa and Sinn.

Have you considered a generic milsub? MKII or Orange Watch Company?

Bell & Ross looks good but costs too much IMHO.

And thanks to gdl for the quick response to my earlier Q! I like some Speake Marin designs but those lugs...

are there spring bar tools made of plastic or something else non-scratchy? I finally bit the bullet on my speedy (waiting for it to ship from the seller on TRF... hopefully have it in hand friday) and I know I'm going to want to play with the bracelet, some straps, and maybe a NATO. I'm desperately afraid of scratching my new purchase though.

Great news! Congrats!

From what I've read the bergeon comes highly recommended, but its not plastic, and ofrei probably knows a thing or two about speedy pros: http://www.ofrei.com/page252.html If youre serious get the 6285!!

i was planning on purchasing one tonight for the same reason--I got a suede strap on the way and may get a nice brown gator soon.

The springbars are really easy to access on the speedy so im not too worried.

Cant wait to see pix!
